"THE UNION HOTEL [TAVERN] 1876-1961 FIND AND HEEPS OF PICS updated

Hi all,I got head too m.d this old hotel site. The building on this site dates from 1876 and there may have been a older building before.I don,t have any info on that.if you look at the gutter out the front, its still lined with blue-stone blocks and i do know that these were laided in 1864.also the back half of the hotel was rebuilt in the 1920,s and a access ramp and new toilet block was also added in the 1950's.theres a fall in the land and there limited access under the back half.I got under the rear of the building and i noticed that when the footing for the access ramp was dug, the fill was just pushed back under the building.Had to get a pic of what i saw.{first pic}.I didn,t have much luck on the nature strip or on the block but got a few from under the buildings.bad ground and damp so a lot of the coins are no-thing more than Rubbish. Thanks for looking and heres a few pic of site and dig and followed by the mansions on the same street.

Great pics and location Tinpan. It's cool to just see and be around those old buildings let alone getting to detect them and actually finding something worthwhile. Wanna see those coins again though.

Great pics and locations. If it is an unhunted site, it should keep you day for quite some time. Looks like some awesome finds so far. Might not be a bad idea to cut the grass for the owner. He might might give you exclusive rights to hunt it. Just a thought.

Great finds and looks forward to more pics from there.
