THE TREASURE OF THE TWO FRENCHMEN/EAST GREENWICH

My belief is that the two Frenchman hung with Captain William Kidd once lived in the East Greenwich area, and might of left something behind in the area.
Anybody interested I can probably give you a few sites to check out.
Good Luck
I'm located close to East Greenwich and often visit since my wife is the director of the library there. I'm very interested to learn more about this and would appreciate your insights on promising locations.

It's My Treasure, If You want it you have to use your noodle to figure out where precious is burried.

The Treasure Of The Two Frenchmen is mine.

This area Looks Interesting
My wife's library is just a couple block east of the cove. I often visit that area and have even operated my underwater ROV in the cove. So far, I haven't discovered anything noteworthy. However, I haven't explored every nook and cranny yet, so there's a chance something interesting might still be hidden there.

I recently recalled having another map related to the Warwick, RI area. It's derived from a letter written by a woman recounting a tale of a pirate treasure hunt near her grandfather’s summer cottage. According to her, her mother shared a story about men searching for treasure near an apple orchard along a creek flowing into a cove on Narragansett Bay. This area is historically known as a haunt for local smugglers, particularly after the British enacted the Molasses Act in 1733. Her mother first heard this story around 1882. The letter includes a map indicating the treasure's purported location. Additionally, there were reports of a boy discovering Spanish reales in the vicinity.

My guess is if there is some type of Burried "Treasure" it would be in the Pojak Point Area.

That's the site of the alleged Viking inscription previously lived.

Why would you suspect buried treasure there? The map I mentioned suggests possible treasure near Conimicut Point. I'm inclined to believe it's feasible, given the area's history with notorious smugglers in Rhode Island's early days.

I'm confident that there are some genuine treasures hidden within those upscale homes at Pojak Point. 😆
Yeah, it may not end up having a direct connection to "Captain Kidd or the 2 Frenchman hung with him, but wouldn't be surprised if something is there. Might be from the 1700's, who knows possibly 100 years after Kidd was gone.
My guess is that the enterprise Kidd & the Frenchmen were into probably carried on without them.

Seems to be some rumors surrounding Kidds death though. The official story says that he was brought back to england Tried and senrenced to hang.
But I have heard rumors to the contrary this is not what happened. It seems that it was'nt England that cought up to kid but the East Indian Company that caught up to kidd. I dont think law and order was on their minds when they caught Kidd and The 2 Frenchmaen.
Your talking the 1600's, a time when they were burning so-called witches at the stake. Wouldn'i of put it past them, that they tortured the 3 in some capacity before hanging them.

From the amount of Kidd Maps out there most likely Kidd and the 2 frenchmen drew maps of most likely everywhere they had burried treasure and possibly every other pirate and there greasy granny would of burried their treasure.
I would suspcet that any of Kidds future contemparies would of heard, "what actually was done to Kidd and the two Frenchman" and would of been pretty secretive in burying any future personal
plunder,.Which means No Maps & No Mention Ever.

Such an interesting Illustration of "Kidds Hanging" Looks to me Kidd had probably already expired when the body was set on that yardarm. The look of the body the windings of the ropes. To keep the Corpse neck from stretching out.
Yeah, Kidd was probably torchered and killed bt the captain & crew of the East Indian Company ship that caught him. The Body was probably sent back to england for display.

I believe he was gibbeted then tarred so his corpse would hang for a long, long time.

It was also known as “hanging in chains”.

I am not an expert on Kidd, did some research on "the famous Kidd map" years ago.
I just get a funny feeling about the "official story".
After capture he apparently spent 6 months in jail? They shipped him back to England spending How long below deck in the hull in chains? Kidd was not a young man at that time. I tend to doubt he would of survived the ordeal. Another story has it that he was Hung Twice? Because the rope broke? Just alot of strange rumors and supposed facts about the case.
From my experience when that stuff occurs their is usually something more to the story.
But like I said not a Kidd expert, Not too interested in becoming one, especially since I believe everthing he possibly burried has been dug, and is long gone.

I think his backers went all the way to the top and they think he had some cash squirreled away somewhere.

They probably settled on the Gardiner’s Island stash as a consolation prize, but they knew there may be more elsewhere.

Maybe. Maybe not.

Who knows? 6 months in a 1700's jail is a long time. He probably gave up everyone including his Greasy Granny.
