It is interesting to note that Anzoletta Warwick Saunders died November 27, 1877, at the age of 71.
As with Pascal and Francis Buford who could confirm part of the Beale story, the story was publish after Anzoletta Saunders passed away- so there were no living eye witnesses who confirm two critical portions of the Beale story.
...except for James Beverly Ward who, contrary to popular belief created by the Hart's, NEVER confirmed the visit of this "unknown author" giving him the alleged finished manuscript.

Furthermore, the Harts never contacted Rowland Dabney Buford, son of Pascal and Francis Buford, who co-wrote "SKETCHES OF BEDFORD COUNRY", which contained NO MENTION of Thomas J Beale, or Rowland's sisters, Ann Buford Hall and Margaret L Buford, who was living at the Buford Tavern Estate during the time of the Harts "alleged" search.
...or contact the sons of Anzoletta Warwick Saunders, Daniel J who was 21 and John M W who was age 16 at the time Robert Morriss told the Beale tale to the "unknown author" during the "2nd year of the Confederate War".

There is a complete consistent conspicuous lack demonstrated especially by the Harts claimed who could have interviewed actual living eyewitnesses to the claimed events in the Beale narrative story- instead evidence of mediums in trances or spirit guides is presented as confirmation of the tale.
The "embellishment" has become the norm due to the lack of actual evidence concerning the entire Beale adventure treasure story.
