Fly agaric are poison.
Red with bits of dried flour bits looking shrooms.
Called fly because pieces soaked in milk kill flies.
Not sure I'd want such milk lying about. But I'm not plagued with flies either.

Hi. Yeah they grew everywhere at the cottage my grandparents had in the Sherbrooke forrest (Australia) where the wombat lived. They fascinated me but I still remember my mother telling me to "never touch them"!
Was an amazing place. Wasn't far from this below.

I didn't know anything like that existed in Australia! A very small part?
I know New Zealand has some beautiful areas... The parts where they filmed Lord Of The Rings especially.

Amanita ocreata, commonly known as the death angel, destroying angel, angel of death or more precisely western North American destroying angel, is a deadly poisonous.
Its principal toxic constituent, α-Amanitin, damages the liver and kidneys, often fatally, and has no known antidote.

Now this red one seems to have the Death Angel for backup.

Here is what the poison is-nice stuff if you don't like something.

α-Amanitin (alpha-Amanitin) is a cyclic peptide of eight amino acids. It is possibly the most deadly of all the amatoxins, toxins found in several species of the mushroomgenus Amanita, one being the death cap (Amanita phalloides) as well as the destroying angel, a complex of similar species, principally A. virosa and A. bisporigera. It is also found in the mushrooms Galerina marginata, Lepiota subincarnata and Conocybe filaris. The oral LD50 of amanitin is 100 μg/kg for rats.

Hi. Yeah thats the Dandenong ranges where they had the cottage. Stuff like that or similar between us and Melbourne in the Wombat forest areas around Daylesford and Trentham way. Also the Ottway ranges where as younger we hunted happy shrooms 😁
My dad used to take me fishing in the forests near Trentham for trout in the small streams. Nothing like that here where we are in this part of the state though.

Wait, these are the fun ones right :laughing7:

Wait, these are the fun ones right :laughing7:
In 2020, roughly 56% of Oregon voters approved Measure 109, which allowed for the manufacture and controlled, therapeutic use of psilocybin at licensed facilities for those over 21. But the measure allowed counties and cities to vote to opt out, resulting in a patchwork of regulations across the state.

:laughing7: :laughing7::laughing7:

1. Penis Envy (PE)– PE strains are some of the most sought-after strains of P. cubensis. Known for their phallic shape, Penis Envy strains have gained a reputation for spore potency and rarity.

2. Golden Teacher – This spore strain is considered potent yet mild, making it suitable for first-timers. It’s been described as suitable for entry-level research compared to more potent strains such as Penis Envy.

3. B+ – This is another strain popular among beginners. It’s a more resilient, easy-to-work-with strain. Found in the wild, it can be identified by its large, thick golden caps and white stems that bruise blue when injured. Beginner mycologists also favor it for its research experience compared to other cultivars.

4. Blue Meanie – Not to be confused with Panaeolus cyanescens species that share the nickname, Blue Meanie is a popular P. cubensis spore strain that, when germinated, produces thick stems and golden brown large caps that fade to white around the edges.

5. Mazatapec – This strain originates from a wild variety of P. cubensis indigenous to Mexico. It produces medium to large, light brown caps and dense stems. This strain is named after Mazatapec, a city in the Mexican state of Morelos near where renowned mycologist Ryche Hawk first collected its samples.

Psilocybe semilanceata (Liberty Caps)

Psilocybe semilanceata, also known as Liberty Caps, Witches Hats, or Pixie Caps, are the most widespread naturally growing magic mushrooms. Liberty Caps grow wildly all over the Northern Hemisphere, although some varieties are known to grow in the Southern Hemisphere.

Liberty Caps are some of the smallest magic mushrooms, with their stems measuring only 1.5 to 4 inches long. They have conical or bell-shaped caps that are yellow-brown and fade as they mature. But don’t let the small size fool you; mycologists report that these are some of the most potent mushrooms.

Hi Gare. At present just an old Xterra 705. I used to own a Minelab GPX 5000, best detector I ever swung for gold. A back issue saw me reluctantly sell it. I started yrs ago in I think 92 with an old Garrett Groundhog then owned several VLFs, then most of Minelabs PI's from the SD 2000 up to the GPZ 7000.
I'll have a look at the Nokta PI when it comes out, supposed to be ultra light so they said. No hurry at present in this summer weather, hopefully it'll be out when it cools down.

I still have a Minelab SD 2200

Over the counter legal to trip out man!! In Canada!!

The link works and is virus free not sure why it asks if you are a robot...

"The first indicator emerged in May 2022, when British Columbia, the province hit hardest by Canada’s opioid and fentanyl crisis, received permission from the federal government to relax possession charges on a range of narcotics including heroin, cocaine and MDMA but not psilocybin."

I read the above and the first thing that comes to my mind is WTF!
