Fly agaric are poison.
Red with bits of dried flour bits looking shrooms.
Called fly because pieces soaked in milk kill flies.
Not sure I'd want such milk lying about. But I'm not plagued with flies either.

Hi. Yeah they grew everywhere at the cottage my grandparents had in the Sherbrooke forrest (Australia) where the wombat lived. They fascinated me but I still remember my mother telling me to "never touch them"!
Was an amazing place. Wasn't far from this below.

I didn't know anything like that existed in Australia! A very small part?
I know New Zealand has some beautiful areas... The parts where they filmed Lord Of The Rings especially.

Amanita ocreata, commonly known as the death angel, destroying angel, angel of death or more precisely western North American destroying angel, is a deadly poisonous.
Its principal toxic constituent, α-Amanitin, damages the liver and kidneys, often fatally, and has no known antidote.

Now this red one seems to have the Death Angel for backup.

Here is what the poison is-nice stuff if you don't like something.

α-Amanitin (alpha-Amanitin) is a cyclic peptide of eight amino acids. It is possibly the most deadly of all the amatoxins, toxins found in several species of the mushroomgenus Amanita, one being the death cap (Amanita phalloides) as well as the destroying angel, a complex of similar species, principally A. virosa and A. bisporigera. It is also found in the mushrooms Galerina marginata, Lepiota subincarnata and Conocybe filaris. The oral LD50 of amanitin is 100 μg/kg for rats.

Hi. Yeah thats the Dandenong ranges where they had the cottage. Stuff like that or similar between us and Melbourne in the Wombat forest areas around Daylesford and Trentham way. Also the Ottway ranges where as younger we hunted happy shrooms 😁
My dad used to take me fishing in the forests near Trentham for trout in the small streams. Nothing like that here where we are in this part of the state though.

Chilli what kind of detector are you using down there ?
