This song features Edward Van Halen's use of the Steinberger "TransTrem" system. The TransTrem system allowed for tuning and key changes mid-song, which is featured heavily in this song. Edward would continue to sporadically use the Transposing Tremolo system on later Van Halen works, including on the Roth reunion track "Me Wise Magic." However, Edward disliked the EMG Active Pickups used on the Steinberger guitars and eventually chose to have the system installed on his signature Peavy Wolfgang guitars.
