This is how I psyche myself up as the machine charges !! After a long pause in water hunting it helps me to look at last seasons finds so I can choose my first hunts !! I try to get in while its still a bit cold...many warm water hunters stay out most of the winter, so it helps for me to start before them in the season and clean up the odd winter drops. Just because we islanders think the water is cold, and don't swim much in winter, that dosent mean the tourist don't get in....they do all winter long, and sometimes after a 3-4 month period of not going, the winter can leave substantial amounts of rings and jewlrey on the bottom!!

All those rings? Reminds me of a particularly down time for me. Back in the beginning, almost half a century ago, I was pulling rings right and left. Had a large box full of gold, silver, diamond, platinum rings. I was fairly new in this hobby and was ecstatic just having so much "treasure"!

But I also had a large family to support. My regular job didn't pay enough so I started selling for scrap. A few at first then more and more.

I was using the detecting as my 2nd job. Fortunate all that work didn't kill me.

Anyway, I went to put my latest finds in my "treasure chest" and noticed just how empty it had become. I used to *really* love springing that box on friends!! Showing off? Heck yeah!!

Finally it got to where I felt like my water hunting was simply going to my 2nd job! I got so disenchanted/depressed with my constantly *having* to sell just to pay bills. I quit!

I stopped all hunting for almost 5 years! I wasn't finding them to sell! I was finding them to keep!!

Anyhoo....that's my story.

Aw man you make me feel so unaccomplished in regards to my metal detecting endeavors. Looks like you find good stuff in a day that took my metal detecting lifetime to find lol I quit. But awesome finds.

It went well. Got 600 meals out without issue so I'm happy. They are so used to me doing my part of the job they have me do it by myself when it's usually a two person job. I wish they'd not because I'm moving constantly and get stressed lol

600 of anything would make anyone feel a bit stressed.
That's f*€&ing normal.
If you can pull it off then that's above most pay grades.

Well the food we make it put it in hot boxes that hold about 6 trays of food. We had like 8 boxes. My job is to keep the line moving make sure trays stay switched out and things organized

Here's a look at one of my families custom smokers we use in the business and some some of what we do. The smoker can I think make several hundred racks of ribs at a time. There is another smaller one that we have too.

I'm back whats new here ? Been away digging some pay dirt. And busy taking care of our baby Bella. Vet says she has a enlarged hart and a partial collapsed tracheal.
