Two days ago I went out scouting in some fields adjacent to a couple old homesites we found earlier this spring. BINGO, a couple hundred yards back.... pottery,,, brick,,, glass :headbang:

We decided to give it a go yesterday and Josh ended up with a couple killer finds and I'm happy that he found them. He was digging in a little area that had a pocket of trash and it paid off huge for him. Way to go man :hello2: :hello2: His post should be up soon, but one of the top 3 finds of our group this year

I'll start out with a couple really toasty coppers... the fields out this way are very harsh :D

Here's an 1809 Classic Head Half Cent (a real shame to see them come out this way)

Here's a few military buttons from a short hunt on Monday
-1830's 2pc Eagle A
-1820's US Greatcoat Army
-1812 Artillery

Unknown Brass items (left appears to be some kind of horse rig, right appears to be a gun piece)

That countermarked King George copper and War of 1812 artillery button has me drooling. I want some early military before the year is over. I still have yet to find a War of 1812 or older button.

Great day overall, Jeff! You are having a year to remember, that is for sure!

I feel so sorry for you two and I am so happy to see that you guys found a new site with some decent relics-LOL. Guys, I can't wait to see what will come out of this one. I see another BANNER or two in the offing. WTG Gentlemen and HH, Quindy.
