I remember when the Monkees TV show was on after school. I would rather eat a green wart on Old Ben Kanobis OB1s rear / My Brother watched it and drove me crazy!!!!!

I couldn't understand the wearing of a stocking cap year around Playing in a band myself around that time frame, I felt they did have a few good songs and the help of outside song writers.

Yea I tried watching the Show when it first Aired.
It went Right over{under?} my Head Absolutely Senseless

As for Most of their Songs. It wouldn't have Surprised me if they were like
Milli Vanilli. And at least Faking playing their Instruments.

Rumor at the time was that they were doing some faking. Not all could play instruments. Supposedly, after they started gaining popularity, they took lessons so as to not look like complete idiots when performing live in front of a audience. I watched it for the car ! The comedy portion of the show was just to juvenile.

yea I Just checked, 1966 to 1968. I was 11 when it first Aired, 13 when it was Canceled.
& it was too Childish for me at 11 Now that's Bad
