Ready for lift off...

Being in Australia... Both deadly?:dontknow::laughing7:
Nah, both will hurt but not deadly. The wasp for a couple of hrs but probably a 6 out of 10. That spider probably you won't initially notice but would give something like this for a few weeks. Itching and pressure pain.
This was around the start of December till nearly Xmas.
It was a bit uglier than that at one stage, the dark bit was raw flesh for about a week. Kept cleaning and dressing it each day during that stage. I get these bites and wounds a couple of times each yr.
Damn spiders! 🫤

What is the name of those wasps?
According to an Google image search they don't reside in Australia, so now we know that Google doesn't know squat!! LOL

Hi. One of our Paper Wasps. They love building nests around houses and things like that under shade. They are ok and you can get real close but will only sting if really annoyed and you'd have to really annoy them to make them do so. Few different sizes here from small a little tiny black flies to those about bee size.
Funnily the tiny ones are the agro ones. Been stung by those but its all over in about two minutes and like a pin prick.
Hey check out the nest I kept from our Mud Dauber wasps in the latest post.

same here wasps mind their own business like bumble and honey bees.

yellow jackets can be annoing if your eating outside and they want a taste of what your eating. or if you step on their ground nest and their flight path is up your pants leg and shirt .

hornets are suppledly ornery but :dontknow:

bees seem to only be scary to others and those with alergies

Spiders ? I only have an Issue with Meaty Ones that look like they may have a full set of Teeth

I hate our feral bees with a passion. Native ones don't sting.
But the European ones that were brought here for honey making and go feral I hate. I have had numerous run ins with them. You know, if you have a detector turned on and get too close here they go ballistic. If you raise the coil near your ears you can hear a buzzzz. Im am convinced it sends them haywire.
Iv run away as fast as I can from them on a number of occasions.
Worst was detecting at place here in Victoria, Avoca, for relics with an Xterra.
I didn't realise that a tree with a hollow had a big nest in it. I soon realised. They swarmed me. They were in my hair, on my face, neck everywhere. I ran and to run faster dropped the detector and pick heading straight for my car. About half a Kilometer run. Got to the car and got in, squashed a few still on me and watched them all around the car for I don't know, 15 minutes!?
They dispersed so I tentatively got out and made my way back to the detector and pick. All ok. Back at the car I felt a bit odd. I must have been stung a few dozen times around my face and neck. I felt my face and neck and was "what the!?". Looked in the rear view and my neck was swollen twice the size like a Michelin man and face too. My eyes, cheeks were swollen. 30 minute drive back to home town Maryborough and straight to the Drs. As soon as they saw me at reception they told me to go straight in to the Dr. Couple of injections and a packet of something and went home. Three days till I felt right. I hate our feral bees with a passion. There's something about that coil buzz that sends them crazy into attack mode if you get too close. Otherwise they're ok.
Iv gone right up to nest without a detector and taken pictures and videos of them. No way with a running detector.

I stepped on a ground nest of Yellow Jackets once.
Luckly I was alone, I ended up in My underware with multiple stings. by th time I got Redressed I had no Pain .
I'd guess Approxamatly a dozen stings, but I'd Swear only the ones that were traped in my pants legs and shirt stung me
the rest didn't seem to follow.

since then when friends had bee issues , I'd Volunteer To get Rid of Them for fun.

I think I may have been bit/stung by tiny Spiders a few times Back up home. I would occasionally have a Tiny Hole that Would Itch Like Hell till I put Cream on it. Though My Home Had Plenty of Spiders, Really, The Only ones that Bugged Me were the long leggers that got trapped in my bath tub and need to be rescued and flushed the rest I let Live their Life.

on rare occasions What I think were centipedes crossing my carpet, but would run to fast for me to stomp them. I hated Them :coffee2:

Yeah mate. Insect's, other creatures here aren't really the issue some like others to think they are, its the damn insects here that have given me all the grief over my years in the bush. I have lost count of how many bad insect bites and stings iv had. Id prefer to see a Brown snake in the back yard go hide than see a spider disappear in the house somewhere.
