The mature stoner: why are so many seniors smoking weed?

Back to the original question. Why are so many seniors smoking weed? The answer is quite simple. The stoners of the ‘60s are now seniors. With laws quickly changing, they are more open and honest about being lifelong stoners.

Time for more coffee.

AND... the most important reason.

THEY ARE SICK OF PILLS.

Which btw can most times cause MORE problems than the problem they were designed to help.

Chemicals VS natural... hmmm lets see... NO BRAINER.

Man made VS God made.... hmmm again NO BRAINER.

Pills for pain are addictive and caustic.

I started growing medical cannabis commercially a year and a half ago. I have personally seen the wonderful changes cannabis can effect. There are silly people everywhere that will give everything a bad name. Cant speak for rec. But medical is amazing

FYI, please remember to keep all politics out of thread.

Turning 65 tomorrow and celebrating by taking my new medicare card to officedepot to be laminated, so i suppose I now qualify as a "senior". I've been blessed with good health and pain-free (except for soreness after marathon fossil hunts requiring over 4 miles hiking in & out of water and climbing over and under fallen trees). My perspective might be different if I lived in pain and if so, then I would try pot in some form rather than pills. Besides caffeine, if I want a recreational drug now, its a beer or some tequila.

Probably already said Above, But it's Because it Didn't Kill off the Woodstock Generation :tongue3:

& They are now Seniors

I don't know. I guess they want to get stupid, fat, slow, lazy, unhealthy, brain damaged, loss of memory, broke. etc.

Yep... those pills and alcohol will certainly do all those things... and then some.

heh

The very first time I smoked pot was in Cambodia during the war.

At that time there was nothing else for me = just what the heck did my life mean?

After that my life got a whole lot worse = but just what the heck did my life mean ???

I do survive though :)

Some time in the very early eighties (1980's) a seventy something ol timer told me folks were smoking it in his youth.

More admit it today with less taboo associated with it.
Some still keep it quiet.
But , sometimes they act. suspicious....

After the war I lived in a trailer on my stepfather's property. My friends were over and the air was filled with smoke. My stepfather walked in and I was freaked. But, my buddy passed him the doobie, and he took it - said he first smoked it in the early 1940's......
