I have not dug a V nickel before so I headed back to the spot today determine to get myself a V nickel, is not in the best shape but it's still a nickel.

ROCKIN 'N' ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!

"headed back to the pot" hmmm.. Some of your best work is done.....
Nice digs!

Wow! Some really good finds in this thread! The only wheatie I found was in a sandbox at a tot lot. Hopefully that will change when I join the SE Pro club today. ;)

I'm going to read up on that site that was mentioned in this thread:
http://www.treasuregizmo.com/getstarted.htm

Do you guys use and really like the Sunray X1 with the Explorer, or would you prefer say the Detector Pro Pocket UniProbe? My gut says Sunray for that fact that it works with the same tones which are key, but what about depth? Maybe it doesn't need to be 5-6" vs. <3" of the Sunray? I'm also considering the fact that I may have to send in my upper shaft for mods (unless it's just some holes that need to be drilled) and don't really wanna be down and out right away.

RM,

you definitely have to go with Sunray X1 probe! the probe comes mounted on a upper shaft and 3" is good enough for a pinpointer  also consider picking up a 6" or 8" coil if you have never used an Explorer before, The sounds would drive you crazy with a big coil! :tard:

I found a couple of wheaties today and 1913 Canadian five Cents!

Whoa, that's a nice lookin' pin! Clever design with the woman in the hair of the balding pipe smoking moon guy.

I got my Sunray X-1 today and got it all mounted for a hunt tomorrow. It's really sweet and goes deeper than I thought it would. I'm pretty sure it's going deeper than the advertised 3" when I have my gain set to 9. I'll have to fiddle more with it and take some real measurements. Bye bye homemade probe. Hello faster finds.

Awesome killer stick pin Goio! Gotta be 110 years old, or maybe some hippie dropped it 40 years ago, but still awesome!

Thanks guys! I am guessing the pin is like a promotional hat or brooch for a tobacco company, by the way the smoke comes out of the pipe and wrapping around the head and then turning into a beautiful woman's face like a good companion. well, it looks like that to me :tongue3:

shes purty,i'd give murphys right nut for that........again that murphs nut

LOL, I would give his right nut too, LOL

Hey Murph, better watchout there buddy! :o first the ticks now these guys want to get in your pants!! :D
