The History Channel is Digging Up John Dillinger's Body But Nobody Really Knows Why

thats kind of weird, when i lived in tampa, a man walked his dog in
copeland park mid to late 70s, some of the other joggers, thought he looked like
an older version of Dillinger, i moved from that hood to another area mid 80s.
so didnt frequent that park again. The guy looked about late 60s early 70s

The disconcerting thing about this is; There are probably heirs of John Dillinger out there, so where does the government have any authority at all to exhume a citizens body from a private grave site so that a Television show can create a media circus over it? We have seen this done in the past with outlaws of the old west and others. I would just like to know what gives anyone the right to desecrate a grave when heirs may still exist and possibly object.

read the article linked, a nephew requested it (why is a different question)

again, read the article (Writer, Journalist and Publicist ?)

My take on it...zero respect for the dead!
Probably for the same reasons why someone wants to raise the Titanic.
For the same reason that young people steal grave markers and deface the War Dog memorial.
No respect!

This is interesting, and I doubt if he will care much if they dig him up...

Yep it's a Simple thing to ask Him before digging.
If he sticks his head out & Says No !
