The CTH4 hunt will be held September 3,4 & 5th in Caldwell.

Re: The CTH4 hunt will be held September 3,4 & 5th in Caldwell.

Great hunt Stan!!!
As usual the food and organizing of the hunt was outstanding. Many thanks to you, your lovely wife, daughter, and BBQ chef son in law for the wonderful food and efforts to make CTH4 a huge success. I always look forward to the BBQ and all that goes with it. Also I wish to thank the T'net members that helped you all year prior to and during the hunt that contributed to it's success. Those that donated their time are special to all. Thanks to the generous sponsors for their support.
Stan, if I can be of help on CTH5 let me know. You are a great friend and I will always do what I can for you.

My good friend Evan (gonehunting) was able to attend his first CTH this year with me. I have told him for the last 3 years he needed to go but until now circumstances did not permit. CTH4 was just about all he talked about for the last few months and I know he went home very happy and is looking forward to going next year. Evan is a great advocate for our hobby and spends a lot of time teaching newbies about their machines and goes to great lengths to help them get comfortable with whatever brand or type of machine they have. I know everyone that met and conversed with him in Caldwell could see that he loves the hobby and will go out of his way at any time to help others even if it detracts from his hunting time. Thanks buddy for going with me.

I just want to thank EVERYONE, That made me feel like it was a big ol' family from the bikering to the laughs and hugs. I did feel like I was home and felt somber about going home. I will be there when and if there is another hunt. I feel God works in ways that we can never explain or begin to understand. I am glad I went and met all the best Claim jumpers in the world!!!! God Bless everyone.

Just leave the goat home next time............... ;D

I wish the next hunt was here. I didn't get much of a chance to hunt. kind of hard to do that when your MD isn't working the way it's supposed to. thanks for the tips and all your help, Evan. the etrac is already at minelab in Il. waiting to be fixed, so next year, maybe I can find some of that elusive silver

Geez, I wish you had come by. I had one machine out for about two hours the entire weekend, and five others in the back of the truck! (thought there might be issues here and there) Had I known, you could have had your choice.

Next year (again, if I make it ;D ) ANYONE in the family that has a machine problem should look me up. I can't fixem, but I and loanem. No e-tracs, just the cheap stuff...........

Be Blessed! WOW what a great bunch of folks y'all are!

Re: The CTH4 hunt will be held September 3,4 & 5th in Caldwell.

no worries, I enjoyed watching everyone else finding good stuff. I did get a chance to do some bottle digging with Gypsy and TC, I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow.

Jim, I considered it a great honor to be your friend and hope to go again. We need to get Stan head to you know where this fall.. Seems me and you have to catch up with him on some finds. Maybe stop at that "Catfish Place" you like... ;) I'm buying this time!

Sniffer man I'm sorry bout your machine. I'd hoped that problem we looked at fixed it, but it was acting too erratic for it not to have an issue. Lon at Minelab will keep you uptodate on the progress of your machine and and I think Doug is one of the main Etrac techs he will call you as soon as it reaches his bench. A lot has changed at ML since the move from Arizona. The poor CS is definitely a thing of the past. Good luck.

Again I am sorry...Evan
I for one vote that you remove that post. I KNOW for a fact that there were others, and it matters not even if there weren't. If Stan says you're good, you're good! That's all there is to it! Look forward to meeting you there next year. Be Blessed!
Thanks Bill. I feel better that every sees how truly sorry that someone was offended at mine or anyone else's actions. I love this hobby and enjoy the people I meet when doing this hobby. On a lighter note, Man you did a good deed you did for the hobby on Sunday when you let that homeowner use that Ace 250. If I would have had one for sale it would have sold that evening. I think with your help we introduced a new person to the hobby. Kudos to you my friend.

Re: The CTH4 hunt will be held September 3,4 & 5th in Caldwell.

Monty, it was a huge surprise and pleasure to see you at this hunt. And if you ever decide you want to give that AT Pro to me....I will pause....give you time to reconsider....and then grab it and run! LOL Good luck on your recovery, my friend. I think you know that we love you!

Bill, we had something cooked up for the reception lady for when we checked out, but unfortunately the guy was there. Don't think he would have understood about the goat and the hooker....LOL

Now...Bill....as Darrell's trainer, I have already started getting him in shape for next year's burrito breakfast. Today, I gave him a jar of Famous Dave's SPICEY Bread and Butter Pickles.......and a bottle of Choco Vine....a mix of chocolate and red wine. After his shoulder surgery on Sep 12 and his foot surgery on Sep 22, I think he should go to Burdie's house for recovery and further training. :)

I will have to admit, though, that I truly missed BridgeEndFarm (Bobby) and Cybercop (Jim). Can you imagine this?....MasterEagle and BaldingBoy; Cybercop and BridgeEndFarm; and Darrell and I...........checking into the motel, asking the front desk clerk for a pillow for the goat? LOL

Wow, I'm glad to hear that. I had assumed he'd wandered away from his detector and someone had picked it up rather than leave an isolated machine laying around........... Glad it was just his hat.

Re: The CTH4 hunt will be held September 3,4 & 5th in Caldwell.

Ok, I think I finally got the slide show to work right. Few things you need to know about it ... If you don't see your picture(s) in it, I'm sorry but it just got too long as it was. Thank you to everyone that gave me pictures to include, and to those whose pics I snatched off the forum.

When you start the slide show, you will need to download and istall the 'Photodex Presenter'. It's a free download and works much the same as Adobe, in the background. When the show starts, move the mouse to the center of the screen and 'click' to play. Then move towards the bottom of the window and you will see the 'play' buttons. On the right side is an icon to view full screen.

If you want a 'copy' of the show, click the download button at the top. Anyone playing the show will still need to install the Photodex Presenter' the first time they view the show. If you don't like the music, simply mute it. If you have any problems, let me know.

I really did enjoy the entire outing, and I'm certainly looking forward to next year! See you all then!!

excellent slideshow, you may not have had all the pictures in that one, but I think you covered everybody
thanks for your hard work, Lance

Great job Lance !!! I "borrowed" a couple of your photos for the MWAS site and gave you credit.

I had to leave the hunt early Sunday so I missed a lot, but had a great time while I was there. I did find a first for me Saturday, a whole harmonica reed. I have only found bits and pieces of them before, so I was happy !

I don't post much, but I read the posts most everyday, so it seems like I know you all. I sure enjoy watching and listening to you all when you get together. It cracks me up. I really hate wearing the headphones cause I know I am missing a lot of one liners.

I started attending these back when we hunted Otterville in 2006 and met Stan :notworthy: when he tried to change my hotel reservations to the back end of a U-Haul truck.
I had to miss CTH1 account of a family event, but have attended CTH 2,3, & 4 and plan and hope to attend 5. Had a super great time at them all !!!

Snapped a pix of my finds from all the hunts. Not the greatest finds to come out of the dirt, but the greatest finds is to be associated with all of you. Thanks to you all !!! :notworthy:
