Also...Our friend Bobby..Bridgeendfarm...is in the middle of a hurricane thats blowing into his world right now...talked to him this morning and he was battening down the hatches ...so didnt know if he was going to be able to leave for Caldwell yet..or when...so keep him in all of your prayers ...ok....Stan...He said he will give you a call later this morning!

My mind is running so fast I will probably be rambling on this post.
Just some thoughts. The ground is starting to harden again. One idea is to have an old stiff knife and make a slice in the ground as wide as your digger. (do not pry) Then use your digger. A 4 to 5 inch knife is best and safer. I thought I had a deal that we would get rain Friday but it is not looking that way now. :dontknow:
Drink lots of water. I really don't think you will have to worry about Nat's. Be aware of ticks. I do have a field that is disk to hunt after the first site. If we find all the brass tokens and everyone is willing we can pack up and move to it for easy digging. This hunt is laid back and very flexible. OK have a great trip here.

Got my digger sharpened up so you can shave with it, sharpened the jackhammer bit. Got the big compressor to power the jackhammers oil changed. I might even throw in my metal detector too. Bringing big video camera to record some things. Will be leaving about 3 am in the morning. Everybody be safe!!

Just visited Jack at the Caldwell. No cancellations so far. Seems that lokkenpa may have passed it to friends. Sorry he couldn't make the trip............

In fact, Jack said that seven of his eight rooms have already called with confirmation, only one person left to hear from, and I don't think she is part of our group, but not sure. He said he'd call me directly if he gets a cancellation, and I have a designee for the room if it becomes available.............. :) Sorry.

Anyone in our group who gets here without a room and no camping equipment but thinks they can put up with an old geek who snores............. I have two beds in my room at the motel 6.

Thinking of heading out about 4am tomorrow(fri).Will get up about 3am and start packing. :thumbsup:
Planning on a short stop in Wichita,so going all the way across hwy 54 from mid Mo,however,if anyone developes trouble along another way,it would not be a big hassle for me to deviate to help out.Most everyone has mine or Lance's cell number.

Just the last minute items to throw in the truck in the morning......then its on the highway. I plan on seeing evrybody there so be careful in your journey...and see you all tomorrow afternoon.

Getting a good nights sleep tonight and will be heading out in the morning sometime.
I'm planning on showing up around noon or so to get my camp set up. I look forward to seeing familiar faces and all the new ones. Yall can have your eatin' contests all you want. It won't hurt my feelings if you slow yourselves down! ;D Johnny 8)

CTH4 schedule:
Friday: We will meet at the Senior Center to meet and greet from 2:30 pm to 5:30. Cookies and tea will be served. When you first get here please pick up name tag and sign waiver release. Also sign Larry’s thank you letters. Pick up shirts if you ordered one. We have ink prints from Tom Phillip (Baldingboy) for sale. ($5) They are signed and numbered.

Saturday: Meet at Senior Center at 8:00am to sign waiver if you have not done so. Otherwise meet between 8:30 to 9:00 am. for main hunt. This will be where the brass disks will be hidden. You can use the Bathrooms at the Senior Center. You can hang around inside where it is cool during the day. We will Divide up and work the bottle dumps if it gets too hot. I will have water to drink at the Center. Bring your own at the site. You will follow me to the hunt. You can come and go at this site Check the town out.
Saturday: 6:30 to 9:00pm for supper and handing out prizes.

Sunday: 8:30 to 9:30am. Breakfast will be at Senior Center. Attend cowboy church which is just music or any other church in town. (Optional) Bottle hunting is at your pleasure from 9:30 to ??. Your on your own for lunch. You can dig at either bottle sites. One is at the first site we hunted. The other is south of town where some dug the last time. Metal detecting starts at 1:00pm. Meet at Senior Center and follow me. You will see CTH signs in yards and it is OK to detect there. MAKE PLUGS AND COVER UP HOLES!! These are my friends and neighbors please don’t make me regret getting these places to hunt for you. You can go to the school to rest and visit if you like. There is shade.
Sunday: 7:00 to 10:00 Cook out will furnish hotdogs, chips, and marshmallows. You furnish anything else you want.

Monday: 9:00am cattle drive down town. They may have cow patty bingo. You are on your own till 12:30pm. Meet at 12:30 at Senior Center and we will go to the next site. I can’t take it any longer I will have to hunt to. When you have all you want in hunting have a safe trip home. I want to thank you all for coming. I sure hope you have a great time. God Bless

I have to work till 11am tomorrow (1/2 day) and should be on the road around noon and with any luck should be in Caldwell around 4pm. Can't wait to see everyone.

For those new to this group, BB and I don't wear Tu Tus, or orange shorts and little white Ts. Ok ther was that one time I wore the Tu Tu that was made for me at the LBH hunt....... ::) :laughing9:
