Better check the packing list, WSD! I was reading last year's hunt thread and what do I read? Let's see, you forgot to pack a belt, Dixie's food/dish, I believe some meds of yours and something else...I'm not going back to search to see what all it said.

Ok everyone ... just talked to Barbara at Motel 6 Ronda no longer works there ...... and my room was wrong date. She changed she said if your commin please call to make sure your room is correct ! Mine was correct last i cked but was wrong now so she fixed an will fix it for you ! And tell them you are with the CTH ( metal detecting) we get discount and we do NOT want mixed up with a family reunion going on at same time !

Had a death in the family and my mother who is supposed to be watching my kids next weekend for me is in Hazard Kentucky. No not the Hazard from the Dukes of Hazard, this one is in Perry county far East Kentucky. She is unsure whether she will be able to get back in time for me to attend the hunt. Lack of childcare was the reason for not attending last years hunt.

Here is the only nice part of the story. When I was talking to my wife about it last night she said and I quote, "If I didn't have to work the weekend I would load up the kids and come with you. Those people were so nice to me and Dylan and I wouldn't mind seeing a few of them again." What a mind blower!! I had to pinch myself to make sure it wasn't a dream.

For the old timers here you know exactly what I'm talking about. For the new comers, it's not worth explaining.

I think Baldingboy will be coming whether or not I do, so the prizes I have here will get to Burdie either by BB or I have a Fed-ex truck on standby. One way or the other that box will make it to Caldwell next Friday!!!

I have spent the last two weeks gettting everything prepped and ready for the hunt and went and bought a bunch of snacks for the trip last night. I am hoping and praying that this will all work out because I need a few days away from here and I need to hunt really really BAD!!!!.

Keep your fingers crossed for me and hope it all works out.

Just checked with Motel 6 our reservation is fine. Does anyone remember the Rate that was supposed to be given to members of the CTH? I had it somewhere and now I cannot find it.

Blackwell, Motel 6 is booked up. I just got a room at Super 8 for $46 a night in Blackwell. There are other rooms still available in Blackwell if you need one!!! Almost time to load!!!!
