Sorry for the absence...got caught up w/ the mushroom hunters again.

Just a word of caution- if you guys want to hunt the "spot", wear the most powerful Deep Woods Off you can get. I had some on and had no problems, but the other day my gf and I went to the spot to take some nature photos, and she didn't have any on- and had four ticks on her when we got home. I absolutely hate ticks, and figured you guys might too.

Funny thing is, she barely strode off the path. They must be everywhere now.

More than likely I'll be there, but things have been coming at me lately at the speed of sound and I might have to cancel. But again, likely, I'll be there. Remember, everyone, bring the Off. Not just for the ticks...the mosquitoes should be in full force by then.

So you got the bug grab yourself a litter of Techila, half a dozen green lemons and some salt on your way home and drink up buddy and don't forget to chew on the worm! That should kill anything you got if you survive!!

Hey I'm not sure if all the Home Depots have this deal, but at the one in Elgin, there are boxes of Deep Woods Off towelettes - 12 towelettes in each box. 25% Deet. They are on clearance. Originally something like $5.99 marked down to 37 cents or 43 cents. As of three days ago Elgin had about 2 cases left.
