Feel free to post yours here also......

OK started cleaning out some shelves hoping I might need the room. I stuff everything into a book case then frame it and store it away. Most of you have seen my little river and field hunts some I never posted though. Nothing spectacular but all found by me. I did not get all the tools in there like scrapers, choppers mortars and pestles. A couple of the good ones went into some locked frames I lost the keys to and did not want to unscrew them to get to them. : ) If I am lucky I might get one more frame this year.
Thanks to everyone for inspiring me to get out for that next hunt. Have enjoyed sharing. My goal is to have fun and it has been that.

Feel free to post your yearly totals so far its fun to see all of them again !

Regards,
TnMountains
Modified: Ok, did open one frame to get the lostlake and some uni tools and spikes out from earlier this year :icon_sunny:

Nice finds TnMountains. It looks like you've had a very productive year so far.

I'll see if I can round up pics of my 2009 finds and post them.

Here's a few pictures of some of my finds. The last two pictures of the trays are finds from the same site and almost everything in the trays has been found since the first of the year.

Here's a few more. The Axe was actually found in 2008, but it was found on December 17th so I consider it as a new find.

you guys have really found some beautiful stuff this year
I hope I can get time to organize and my 2009 finds to show you

Wow
I knew you guys had been hunting a lot but that looks like you both have a whole new collection. I need to post all those scrapers uni made me pick up and maybe get into some other frames.lol
Larson I know you have found a lot and thirty7 and Americus.JYD and Bravo,Chong just to name a few.
Lets see them : ) We still have a few good months left to hunt.

Impressive finds so far guys, lots of nice stuff. Good topic here, inspired me to get organized and group together some personal finds of 09. I've been hitting hard this year, pretty much gave up on golf, and fishing for the most part and really concentrated on adding some to my personal collection. I'll just post the complete points and tools I've found this year to save bandwidth on this post( already starting to load really slow). Some are pictured twice the site frame with the long guilford is from WV. I was going to picture the big stuff, and stone tools but they're outside and it has started to rain so I'll add those later. I've walked and paddled many miles to rescue these pieces of history and all of these finds came from private property with landowner permission.

yea thirty7,actually most of the pieces in that frame look to have a purplish hue to them or maybe my eyeballs are playing tricks on me.

I see what you mean now Greg, the common flint around here is light gray to dark nearly black gray. I think the light(approaching storm) i took these in sort of makes them look purple. Those three bottom left pieces are made from red quartzite.

my best! I try! honest I do! sniff, sniff

Hey Tn, what's that nice red and black flint(maybe chert) material, i like that stuff. Sweet little bifurcated kirk in the latest photo.

mamabear, are you seeing any flakes / chips? when you do, really slow down and take your time, they're out there. I remember a picture of your yard awhile back and a nice pond, is it spring fed?

I went back and got some more of this yearsthat I had posted. That is the flint/chert that is brown and black, that I was told only came from that valley I hunt. We collected jars of the flakes for their beauty. Treefrog was showing some from off the Cumberland Plateu and then I found some more up there. I do not think its ever been classified. I like the bifuracated bases also helps on the time frame some. Thanks thirty7 you have had a great year.

Dorkfish,

In frame 11 of your first series of pics, those three pointed things sure look like turkey spurs. I love all the bone pieces you have.
Tn, Greg-Rocks, Thirty7, larsen, Uniface, and where's Neanderthal I should call you guys Sir or Mister. Maybe even Dr. You guys should start a museum. Man ya'll are really prolific. :notworthy:
I definitely need to get out more.
