T80 Compressor help needed. How to remove the exhaust plate from the head.

Last time we tried to buy some here in Calif we were told that they can't sell them here anymore in this state because of a new CA law as usual. Traveling to Nevada or Oregon or doing some research that way would be best because even though they had hundreds of them just stacked on pallets, they couldn't legally do anything with them. But that was last year, so it's just another fine mess the state has started...

John could you tell me where Fig Tree swap meet is please? That's the first that I have heard of it.
I am going to shorts today to drop off some cans and scrap, I will ask them.
I was at Jolly Jerk the other weekend and didn't see anything. :(

I might just have to deal with eBay again then and buy one there, $40 bux shipped is a great price.

I stopped using eBay out of principal because of the heavy handed rules they started placing on sellers.
I use to sell through eBay weekly, have a perfect feedback.

All these crazy California laws are really making me hate my favorite state. :(
Every where I turn it seems some new law is being pushed against good law abiding citizens while corporations, hired mobs and Govt. run supreme.

Much admiration for your tenacity Neo Tokyo.

For some reason I get the idea you're running solo. Maybe I'm wrong.

People will probably disagree with this, but my .02 is if dredging alone is to not over exert yourself, ever. Equipment and circumstances can go wrong anytime. Slow deliberate movements, planned egress, go easy on the air. SHTF always at the worst possible times. Have a plan and always leave something in the tank. Mechanical and otherwise. An extra $50.00 of gold aint worth it if you end up on the news for the wrong reason.

Looking forward to your adventures. Heavy pans and stay safe out there. Not doubting your ability or ambition.

-Edit I have seen Keene branded air filters, not sure what size filter. No doubt a good idea if you plan on spending any amount of time (hours/day) breathing that air.

Funny thing Is I don't recall seeing them until after I posted a question on 49ermikes about inline filters. Only coincidence I'm sure since I'm just a no nothing Noobie LOL.

Thanks for the kind words. :)

I do have a dredge partner but he doesn't really like coming out with me when I am sniping, doesn't pay well enough. HA!

When I use this rig just to snipe I will be by my lonesome most likely so I will be extra careful, I also plan to carry a dive knife with me in case I need to cut my weights as even the simplest of clips can fail you in a time of emergency.
Luckily while sniping I don't need much weight to keep me down.

I cant wait to get into some of those deeper holes. :)

they get set in place and get stuck, spin it around so you can get a hold of the piston and pull hard
or carefully lever up the crank shaft out of the bearing seat. its all one unit.

Thanks

The bearing is off the seat. There is what looks like a round piece of white plastic where the shaft goes through the block. Does that come out and if it does which way does it go?

Mine is an older model and didn't have any plastic in it what so ever.

Could you post a picture?

Also, welcome to TNet. :)

looks like you'll need a new Eccentric, never saw that plastic piece before.
when I rebuilt mine I got the bearings, Eccentric, and new shaft came to about $120,
but its been working great for 3 seasons of dredging, 8-10 hours constant running during a typical day.
If your just going to use it every once in a while might be able to ask a round and find an old one and just replace the bearing
