along the stream in my backyard, where i take my walk everyday there are plenty of fallen trees that lay right across the stream, the banks are so high that i jump down and walk right under the fallen tree.
I noticed a huge metal structure that is right under where the tree has fallen. It halfway in the ground and halfway sticking out of the stream bed directly under where the tree has fallen. There are nails side by side along the entire rim that is sticking out. Its pretty big and looks as if it has something is inside or may be hollow. It was exposed bc of the tree falling and its treasure if u ask me. My brother told me it was a old moonshine but i beg to differ. Ill let u know what i find. Heading out in 15 min.

or an old coffin?

Bump... Out of curiosity.

He left the country with his fortune ??

The Krakens have been released!

He cranked the handle on the side and out popped a clown... so he ran off scared to death. All jokes aside , i wouldn't be surprised if he found an old wooden crate . Over the years i bet i have seen at least a dozen lining the creek banks. I thought that maybe they placed them in the middle of a creek as a place to step without getting in the water and mud to cross to the other side. Never know for sure.

Hampton , Georgia was called Bear Creek during the War of Northern Aggression, and was the scene of several skirmishes and looting during Sherman's March to the Sea. There was the Battle at Nash Farm, Lovejoy Station and Plantation, and a skirmish at Walnut Creek.
It is possible that the "chest" may be a hidden cache from that time.
