Earliar today I got out and hit up a camp that I have been working for a couple years just to get out of the house. I did ok with some bullets and a coin. So I came home and posted the finds. As soon as I was finished posting the stuff a friend (a Realtor)called me up to see if I wanted to dig a bank repo house yard that was located across the road from a place I dig for relics already. Well about 30 minutes into the hunt I pop up this ring. I don't beach hunt and I don't know anything about jewelery so if anyone could help out I would appreciate it. It says 10 K inside. Mike
It weighs about 8 - 9 grams I think that is if these scales are still accurate.

Is there an easy way I could test the gold or diamonds?

pawn shop...but I wouldn't recommend it....better off just taking it to the jeweler. Either way, sweet ring!! :headbang: HH!

That ring is a monster--I sure hope the stones turn out to be real. If they are real, I vote banner. Did you have any trouble digging it from the frozen ground? The ground here in Maryland must be solid down to about 6" right now. I'm itching to get out and detect, but will have to wait for a thaw.

That is a sweet ring! It sure looks good to me, good luck.

Holy Smokes! That is a beautiful ring. I sure hope the stones are real. They look good to me. Take that baby in to a jeweler right quick and get her checked out. I too vote Banner if said stones are the real deal. Let us know...  jgas

Usually a 10K ring would contain CZ's, not diamonds, but anything's possible! Great Find! Beautiful Ring!

I think that is the real deal. Go get it checked an CLEANED by jeweler in a Sonic Cleaner. Thats is a sweet ring.

Holy crap!! :o That is awesome!

Mama Mia look at that beauty, and the baggette diamonds are nice too. Breezie

That's a beauty

I suspect the diamonds might be lower quality, or possibly CZ's with a 10K band. Either way, it's still an exciting find :hello2:

Beautiful ring gold is gold be-it 10k or 18k but normally that many real stones in 10k ? get it checked WTG HH :icon_thumleft:

Wow, with that kind of find if We got together to hunt a site there's no telling what could be found on a good Day. Great recovery. congrats man!!!!

Ditto! :icon_thumright:

That sure looks nice, & I can tell you that 10k rings do have real stones in them. The best ring I have found was 10k & it had a .46 ct very high quality diamond in it. The stone alone was worth over $800
