I found this Sunday and put it in the trash side of my pack. I was looking at it again because of the weight and what looks like a design. It may be what it was on when the lead was poured. It is in the shape of an arrowhead (and I thought it was until the pin pointer hit it), about 2 and a half inches long and is very heavy for its size. I found it in an area where we find a lot of Civil War artifacts and about 6in down. Any thoughts?

Very hard to say with lead unless it is in a definite form. (A three ringer for example) its so soft it can be beaten crimped torn etc. Looks like a lump of lead to me. Old and oxidized
cool stuff I like finding lead and for some reason a find a lot of it just like this. Lump of old lead. Not bullets or tire weights or fic=shing sinkers just Blobs

Yeah, I find a lot of lead blobs. It was strange, because usually the lead blobs look like slag droppings. This looks as if it was poured in this shape. Crimped at the top. Tip broken off. Or maybe I am just reaching? Lol

If found with other CW artifacts, I would call it camp lead.
Just left over lead from casting bullets and poured out in a random spot to cool and take along to the next camp.
