So I found these 2 jars full of sand tonight. They were laying side by side about 6 inches down. I haven't opened them yet. Why would anyone bury jars of sand?

You ever see that movie where they swap out the real thing of value for the fake thing of value in equal weight, and then the other guy absconds with it like they knew he would but later finds out and then just drops the fake thing and runs off to seek out the offender. you know, that one movie, with that one guy in it and that lady is in it too... ;).

I opened them up after work today. They were just sand. No coins no nothing. Sorry, they kind of freaked me out when I dug them up so I didn't want to open them right away.

I was hoping it was sand with gold!

I know what you mean, i once found a modern jar at the beach, filled with sand and...other stuff. I took it back and reburied it. Seems someone buried a hamster(??) at the beach.

I too have dug some very strange looking sealers/jars of liquid with not so nice things floating around inside. They just got reburied and I carried on having it rent space in the head for longer than I cared for.
