This Old Boy missed his calling. He needs to be writing books or something of the sort. He has a gift of gab and sure knows how to keep your interest up.

Hey thanks all for all the positive notes. And sticking it out for my story. It has been a pleasure and hopefully I have made some new friends. I typically have to call Rent a Friend.
Wyopaul I can't remember a lot about the loot near Long Park. I stumbled across the story years back! Newspaper archives or some treasure book. I was doing research on a different loot in the area. I know the area well. The part I remember is if I was looking for this I would start looking under pine trees and rocks on the east end of Long Park before you get to Sheep Creek. Spirit Lake road. They caught and killed the bandits before Sheep Creek and they didn't have the loot. Heck for that much gold we could dig up every tree between here and Canada. And if we ran the Spotted Owl out then the loggers could go back to work. I would concentrate my efforts on the north rimrock north of the Spirit Lake Road and west of Long Park south west of Manila UT. west of Sheep Creek. Dose this mean we are friends now?

Got that right. He's been keeping alot of guys on the edge of their seats for the last 5 years with one post... http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,15996.0.html
I am getting close to that one got to keep my mouth shut. Who told you it was 5 years? Did you forget to subtract winters from 5 years? Besides that after 5 years subtract winter I dug up a lot of trees and rocks but forgot which rocks I turned over now I have to start all over.

I just went by the fact that your first post about that treasure was dated 2005. Winter is almost over here in New Hampshire. Got up to 50 yesterday and there are patches of bare ground showing here & there. Of course March in NH can be really bad too when you least expect it. Wishing you all the best in your search.

i really enjoyed the story and had my mind thinking gold or silver.
thanks much and keep looking for your treasure, you will find it. take care and be carefull out there. :) ron

Great story! Too bad it wasn't the find of a lifetime, but maybe the next one will be. You truly have a gift of storytelling, it was truly an honor to "live" your experience with you.

Happy Hunting!

Eddie
