I'm not one of them... I have WebMail Notifier in my Firefox, so it notifies me when there's a reply to this thread.
But I'm working, so I can't keep up with them all... lol

About done. Give me a few more. I made the mistake about telling my sister now half the world wants to see includeing my bugger eatting cozins that never knew me till now.

Not sure where I left off . But I strip down again and head for the water. I am wearing soft boat shoes due to the rock. As soon as I step in the water it turns murky and I can’t see the box. I wade toward the box and the water is getting deeper. Turns out the water is only 7 foot just deep enough I couldn’t keep my head above . I am 6’ So I am bouncing along and I find the box with my feet. I try to pry it loose with my feet no luck.
So I dive under and grab the box with one hand that didn’t work it was stuck in the muck. I am freezing cold by now. My knees legs hurt like crazy and I have a instant head ache. Wanting to go back to the truck to warm back up I know if I do I will shy away from jumping back in. So I dive down again and prying on the box it starts to fall apart. So I come up for air only to find I am being forced back down under water by my dog who figured he would swim out and help me. I guess he figured my head was an island. After a struggle and a few claw marks on my head. It was a matter of who drowns who first. Guess he didn’t like his head under water so he retreated. I dive back down trying to be as careful as I can I manage with both hands to free the box. I am headed back to shore box in hand.
I am so cold I didn’t even look at the box and realize what a great find I had until I get to shore. I know I had to get warm I set the box on the shore and head for the truck. Dry off and get dressed I had to sit there for a bit with the heater running. Now for the box I grab camera head back to the box. Took some pics and grab the box and head for home. It took me a hour to warm up I was so cold on the way home. I think I will have to go to Phoenix to warm up for a week. All in all I was in the water about 5 minutes. Seemed like 2 hours. Because the cold wouldn’t go away and I did have a headache for about an hour after. All smiles now here is a pic hope you all enjoyed my adventure.

I am the proud owner

I just want you to know...

...that when my times comes to go after a box...be it in water, or under concrete, anywhere...I hope I have your guts and determination.

Splendid job. :notworthy:

Shucks ! :'( So it wasn't a banner find but I think you deserve a banner for the presentation of your story :icon_thumright:

That was the best damn story I ever heard. You had me on the edge of my chair. That was great. I was laughing my butt off :laughing9: :laughing9: :laughing9: but can you tell me more about the gold. I haven't heard of this one before. Thanks for the great story.

I agree with Dan, you are the kind of person who will make a great find at some point just because you are so tenacious and have the kind of determination required to make a recovery.

No gold this time, but a great story for future generations and a keepsake in the form of a pocket knife and modern classic computor monitor casing.

Great story and recovery
