Spanish gold cross with emeralds

Orthodox and sometimes Roman Catholic Priests and Bishops are awarded Jeweled Crosses for length of service. They are worn even in today's time frame. Just a thought.
 

Dang, I knew I recognized that top part. It is a Spanish biretta (hat) that New Spain and Philippine priests wear ala St. Ignatius of Loyola. With the balls on the cross ends it is indicative of Mexico City. Doubt it is an earring and maybe not a necklace. The size perfectly matches what one would expects for a rosary. If pure gold and age right…a true treasure.
