Sorry my Darling Wife,

My detector has given me yet another gift of affection [emoji183] at the basketball court. Her name is now Aurora because she keeps giving me these gifts at dawn [emoji560]. I'm hers from 5:30am - 9:00. You can have me for the rest of the day though.

Holy moley! Congrats on that sweet lookin ring! What do the marks inside say?

You're not actually going to show that to her, are you?

I'd get it taken away never to be seen by me again....

Looks like tanzanite. Congrats! -Lisa & John

I love the in the plug pic.

Believe it or not she looked at it and said "It's ugly." [emoji46]. I'm not surprised though. She likes understated jewelry and this definitely is not subtle.

I was wondering what stone it was. In the dawn light I thought maybe sapphire but once at home with it cleaned up, I figured it is something else or a really crappy sapphire. No idea if the diamonds are real either.

14K, awesome!! I'd have to think the diamonds are real.

I'm still looking for a gold ring with real diamonds, they are hard to find apparently.

Any shmoe can find a gold ring with diamonds when you live in a densely populated area (I did so it proves my point!). NWMP buttons and Hat badges? Now those are special.

Sell the ugly ring and give the money to your wife to do what she wants to do with it. Happy wife, happy life. Good hunting and good luck.

Definitely more likely to be a low-grade tanzanite (higher grade are dark purple-blue, most all are heat-treated) If those are real diamonds, they sure are white! Pretty ring. -Lisa

Haha thanks, I guess it all comes down to location. For the record, I'd be happy to be a shmoe who dug a diamond ring.

I don't really post much on here anymore. I do read a lot of posts though. Felt the need to so congrats to this one! I still have yet to find any solid gold. Been at it for 3 years now!!

Congratualtions on the ring recovery!

Nice and sparkly - Congratulations! :icon_thumright:
