I think it is from the International Order of Odd Fellows. That same company made their ceremonial swords. steve

Yeah, that's what it is, my grandpa was one of them, and that's about all I know about what they do, except he's buried in an IOOF Cemetary.

Is there a place called Glendale near you? I find a references to the IOOF Wolverine Lodge No. 408 in 1903 but they seem to have changed the name to Glendale Lodge by 1912.
