Some kind of pointed peice of metal ???

Hi all I found this at a site where there used to be a home, I don't believe it to have been any older than 1930's but I could be wrong. I have asked many people what they think it could be and I have gotten a lot of different answers. The back is flat and the entire thing appears to be covered in porcelain and has some significant rusting. Any tips on cleaning it up a little better? Thanks for the help.

I would say it is prolly safe to clean it...even REALLY clean it.3 minutes in muratic(swimming pool concentrate)would do it.Outside and dont breath fumes...this is the,"cheating"way to quickly clean stuff like that.then into water with baking soda to neutralize acid....then steel wool.

I know this is unorthadox but you should be able to see it from google earth when done.

Squirrel shelf porch or door brackets ~ pair ~ cast iron

we had these in the form of columns when i was growing up in a house built in the 40's 50's.
