Some kind of erotic token (NSFW!)

I've come into possession of this token which I've been told is a WWI brothel token. However, I'm skeptical of that. Based on it's shape and imagery my first thought was some kind of fertility token - but I'm really at a total loss. I'd love to know what it's story is.

It's approximately:
2" x 2.5"
30 grams
"EMBLEME DE LA PURETE" is on the reverse (french for "symbol of purity") has started to wear away.
definitely made in a mold, sides and back edges have scratch marks from a polishing tool.
I'm not sure of it's composition - silver or pewter?

I believe it says "durete" which means "hardness" in French.

Emblem of the hardness? I think we already knew that.

I poked around (pun intended) the internet but didn't find anything even remotely close to this item. I'm guessing it is a homemade trinket. Possibly there were 3 other equally entertaining pieces to complete the "pie".
