Re hunted the 1897 house here in north New Jersey. First pocket spill of 5 coins. (1 wheat 4 memorials) all together two wheats today. This is same spot i found 8 wheats in one day. It sounds like the back portion of the yard is just littered with coins.. How have I not found a silver yet here is beyond me. I did pull a coin today, rubbed and saw 1867 and so I thought nice my first 1800s coin! But then I wiped more and saw 1867-1967... Apparently it's a Canadian penny? It has a bird on it. Can anyone identify this coin for me?? So all in all a beautiful fun day.. First pocket spill and first foreign coin...

Nice finds, and the Canadian penny is a centennial penny. They made ten bazillion of them so it's not worth anything more than a penny.
