I haven't been out much lately but the few times I did get out I eyeballed three pretty cool things while swinging my MXT. The 1st eyeballed find was an 1862 seated dime. You can tell from the blackness that it has been in the elements probably from the early to mid 1870's as everything else I find from here comes from that time frame. The 2nd eyeballed find was a nice 1850's calico button that was probably lost in the same time frame. The 3rd thing I eyeballed was found yesterday.....a teapot! I still can't believe how much this area has been hunted not only by me, but others, and that it was still lying on top of the ground enduring the elements all these years. It has a patent date of 1862.

Other finds I picked out from amongst the metal detected goodies include a nice woman's belt buckle with a patent date of 1863. The pocket watch cover is marked as pictured. A thimble made of iron and brass. The beads, buckshot, and caps were also eyeballed. After I saw the first bead I got down on my hands & knees and pulled out my reading glasses and found the other small pieces mentioned. Also an older style suspender buckle half and various bullets. I did dig an 1866 shield nickel yesterday, along with a ladies earring, civilian button, and a broken piece of another jewelry piece with gold gilt.

Not much, but I did get to go out and enjoy God's beautiful world and hopefully share this passion I share with you, TNet!
