believe in Ghost.

Never seen one, and dont want too. But i do love to watch Ghost Hunters and their investigations.

Last night i was watching an episode where they were in Buffalo NY, investigating an old funeral home/museum where several urns were left behind.

They were up in the attic trying to get E.V.P's, and they got a mans voice saying, "leave me alone."

I thought, how sad! It actually brought tears to my eyes when i heard it. I know alot of folks dont believe in Ghost but i do, but whats so sad to me is, their stuck here, and to hear a mans voice say "leave me alone" was the saddest thing i'd ever heard.

I think if it were me, and i was Ghost hunting and got an E.V.P i think i'd have to do my best to help them to the other side. Call a Priest or something!

This is for the Ghost Hunters, How does it make you feel when you get E.V.P's? Other than excitement, dont you feel sad about the poor soul still being here?

I just find the whole thing really sad. Interesting...but heart wrenching

I can't honestly say that I Believe, but I CAN honestly say that I don't Dis-believe. :icon_scratch:

Re: Some dont, but i do

I got an EVP several years ago that really tore me up. There is a cemetery in my area that has had a lot of paranormal activity supposedly happen for many years. I spent several weeks researching it, finding out the history of the place, and the histories of the families who "reside" there.

I came across many interesting stories....stories about unmarked graves, entire families being wiped out during cholera outbreaks, and many others that really make you give thanks for the medical technology that we have.

I also came across a story that was repeated several times. People had witnessed a little girl playing alone in the cemetery, and when called to, she would fade away. After interviewing a local police officer that had seen her ( he was parked at the cemetery one evening and she ran up to his car. Crying, she said " I can't find my Mommy"....then faded away), I went to the cemetery and set up a video recorder and a voice recorder.

After about an hour I left. Reviewing the video revealed nothing. But on the audio recording, for about 10 seconds, was the CLEAR voice of a little girl crying, saying "where are you, Mommy?"

That EVP really got to me. When our team gets an EVP, we get excited. But this one was different. It really pulled at the heartstrings, so to speak. A little girl lost....just looking for her mommy.

Re: Some dont, but i do

Without disclosing the exact location, I tried to get E.V.P.s from an area, actually a certain tree, where dozens of hospitol folks had been hung, nailed, murdered, and tortured all at the same time during the Korean War (While I was stationed in Korea). I figured maybe the tree area would produce something but there was nothing... I tried to interact, and, then left the recorder there for hours - picking it up in the morning.

I keep thinking back to that and thanking God I never did hear anything because it would have most certainly been horrible.

The end.

I like how you think rwsnc. I wish everybody could be as open minded as you.

I know nothing about the 'unknown spirit world' Mcgear, but to me, you cant have a spirit or a ghost without a dead person. Not trying to be funny, but if their not the dead who havent crossed to the other side, what are they? If i would have been you and a spirit/ghost (dead person, lol) was walking side by side with me, smoking a cigar, i'd left a piss trail all the way outta there...sorry lol

I believe that there has been answered questions to the unanswered but for some reason, people still dont believe it..i dont understand that. Its been proven over and over that there are spirits/ghost...something out there!

Eddie? That is a sad story...i would never be the same after that. Did you ever go back there? I wonder who you would get to try and channel the little girls moma? A medium maybe? Is that what they call people who can talk to the dead? I'd have to try something to get the mother to come and get her little girl....hope yall dont think im crazy, but there has to be a way.

On the Ghost Hunters show, they talked about the urns that were left behind. Six of them i think. But that voice of a man who said, "leave me alone" sounded like someone who was devistated and suffering a serious depression. it made me wonder if he was one that was left behind. Makes me sad everytime i think about it.

Jim, your soft hearted like me (hard on the outside and soft on the inside) Hearing the torment that had to go on there, would have traumatized me for the rest of my life. I wouldnt want to hear it either. You know if it would of happened, you'd hear it everytime you closed your eyes at night...how could you not. So sad. Some things just burn in your memory.Just like Edde's little girl in the cemetary, it would have taken me a long time to get over that.

Re: Some dont, but i do

I have to tell yall this story real quick, then i gotta go change the spark plug wires in my mustang, lol

When i was little, my moma's cousin would come to visit, she lived in Gonzales Texas. I used to hate to see her pull up in the driveway cuz i knew she was gonna get on the subject about her house being haunted! She talked about it everytime she came down!

Her and my moma would sit at the kitchen table at night and talk about a little girl, with pigtails in her hair that she saw one day hiding behind a tree while she was mowing the yard. This was when she first moved in the house. So she's thinking it was one of the neighbor kids.

Well, she got to talking to her neighbor one day, an elderly man, and the neighbor told her about a family that had lived in the house, a long time ago, who had a little 12 year old girl who was out side playing one day and daddy was mowing the yard and he ran over a piece of wire and it hit the little girl and went through her heart killing her. I dont know how true that story was, anythings possible, but she would scare the living heLL outta me.

I personally believe that you can have a spirit or a ghost without a dead person, Like I said before, only my personal belief, but I think that once you die that your spirit leaves and goes to one of two places. Like I mentioned before about the familiar spirits, these are basicaly demon spirits impersonating someone that used to be in a certain area for a period of time. They could have acually been in the person while the person was alive, and when that person died, the spirit has just stayed.

I know it's way out there, but it's just my oppinion !

Nooo, your comments not way out there at all! The evil spirit thing makes sence, i understand what you meant a little better now....
Im not doubting what you said at all, im just trying to understand. I wanna learn about these things, and get everyones thought, so i have to ask questions. Your not gonna get mad at me if i ask you another question are ya? lol What causes evil spirits? Where do they come from? See i would relate an evil spirit to someone like Charles Manson when he dies....but thats just me, i dont know.

:coffee2: :tongue3:  Hmmm... The ONLY "thing", that is "dead"... is the physical body, that "we" reside in while "here & now"; the SPIRIT part of us... NEVER dies... only transforms.

:coffee2:  Let me try this... I am ordained INTERFAITH Christian Penticostal :o :icon_study: ??? And Buddha said...
"MIND, it is, which gives to things... their essence." MIND is what survives "death" (NOT the brain...); whatever the MIND is focused on in the "here & now" (such as evil - Charlie Manson... Native American Burial Ground/Sacred Space, etc.), can become the FOCUS in the "after-life" in the here & now. THUS, you have EVIL "spirits"... Sentinel (Protector of SACRED SPACE) "spirits"... EVEN "spirits" still attached to yer clothes from "old & new shops"; jewelry, etc. :o

Mcgear, you just thought you knew what i was thinking..lol...i dont think your nuts at all my friend! I truly believe you and your family went through all that. Im so glad you got rid of what ever it was. The way you explained it, makes so much sence!

Thats why i never go into an antique store to buy anything Rebel!

I've watch "A Haunting" enough to know theres evil things out there....i dont want no part of it! Yall should watch that show when it comes on....freaky i tell ya!

I wonder if you can use a regular tape recorder to pick up e.v.p's instead of one of those other little gadgets? Anybody know?

HI All: As a result of a series of paranormal experiments covering over 10 years, I am now convinced that something intelligent remains after the physical death.

Even pet owners have experinced evidence of their pet's presence for some itme after, such as rattling their food / water dish , puling the sheets on the bed, seeing movement out of the corner of your eye, or in the case of the smaller ones, simply curling up with you .

The latter are not strictly dorment memories, since many times the spot is depressed or still warm after ???

Fascinating, unanswerable subject, at our present state of knowledge.

yes, you can use any tape recorder. BUT...if it has an internal microphone it will record the internal gears of the recorder. If at all possible, use an external microphone and place it at least 3 feet away from the recorder

I would also wrap the mike in a piece of light foam (such as the foam used in the filters for window air conditioners) to stop noise from vibrations in whatever you lay the mike on, as well as stopping wind noise.

Not trying to be funny, but if their not the dead who havent crossed to the other side, what are they?

There are a lot of different ideas on this. Two that readily come to mind are:

1) Some people claim to have out-of-body experiences when dreaming. So although these are still "souls" to a certain extent, they aren't "souls of dead people". Perhaps the little girl in the cemetary looking for her mother could be explained as someone local having the same recurring out-of-body experience/dream over and over again. Maybe she was lost in the cemetary as a child and it was very traumatic for her. So she dreams it over and over again.

2) Some people believe that ghosts are just ripples in the time continuum. So we get glances back at points in the past and they look "ghostly". The little girl may have been looking for her mother in that location a long time ago and the ripple keeps recurring. But it technically only happened once a very long time ago and the "spirit" is not really around anymore.

There are lots of other theories as well. I'm not saying that I believe in any of these theories. Just trying to spread some ideas. If #1 above is the actual answer to the mystery of the little girl in the cemetary then it would certainly be a lot less heartwrenching.

Intresting Jb....

My sis-n-law swears up and down she had an out of body experience once while she was raking her yard. She said she stood beside herself and watched herself rake....she didnt want to tell me for fear i would think she was crazy, but she said it was the weirdest thing that has ever happened to her.
