I found this 1915-1930 coffee jar in the dirt in the ground outside all by herself.I brought her home and cleaned her up she's back alive.

Hard to pick between these 2.... The NC button has some great provenance & the seated dime is a beauty!

I had the coin made into the medallion. With some of the gold I found too! I can't find my original pictures of just the coin. Grrrr, but it's a 1898 $20 coin. SF mint

That silver buckle is really something. I'd love to have that in MY case.

My best find came from a garage sale and wasn't a detector find so... Nothing too much to brag about that came out of the dirt/sand last year for me. I'm liking what i'm seeing from the rest of you though!

My Connecticut druggist bottle (1880-1910) has gotta be my favorite

First find with my Ace 250, late 1700's king George Hibernian half penny, Clea has eaten it badly though!

That's an incredible find...do you know any of the history where it was found?

In 2013 In 3 different trips I got all 4 world war 2 army jacket buttons. I got them at a beach but before it was a lake there it used to have an old farm. I know ww2 isn't all that old but finding all 4 buttons shocked the heck out of me. I have had numerous people congratulate me being as shocked that I got all 4.

Major battle area for the Civil War / WNA However= The manufacture date on the piece is 1866 Long after all military action had ceased My best guess is it was stashed there , It was wrapped in many sections of Burlap and had oiled cloth . stuck deep in the rock wall ---- looked like it had been tied at one time ----- Not really sure the property it came from has been in my friends family since the CW --- They had no idea who might have placed it there -

that's the coolest find I've ever seen truly amazing I hope to find an old pistol one of these days here in oklahoma there's gotta be a few out there if I could just get my coil over it hey I understand it was in a wall but when you scan it with your detector does it show up as iron or something else???

This is some of my better coin finds for the year:

Standing Liberty Quarter, type II. I am not sure of the date. I found this in a field. It is well worn and may have been hit by a bush hog a time or two.

1945 Walking Liberty Half. This is one of the first coins that I found for the year.

1875 Seated Liberty dime.

1901 Barber Quarter

1939 Liberty Head Dime (Mercury). I listed this because it is one of the best ones I have found for the year condition wise. The day I found this dime I also found an old coin spill about 15 feet away consisting of another Mercury dime, 3 Silver Roosevelt dimes and 7 Wheat pennies all in the same hole.
