Fantastic George! You have some incredible finds and its great to see them all together like this. Really great job putting together a museum worthy display. I'm sure you'll enjoy many hours just staring at that thing. Ha

Very nice display. Much better than a dimly lit shoe box:laughing7:. Love that onion:thumbsup:, did you dig that one?

I have a few printer drawers and have picked up some nice deep picture frames and display frames from both the GW & SA stores. These will be some winter projects putting them together. The display I currently have (a mock printers drawer) below and is not as worthy as yours. :notworthy:

I picked up this clear case for 99 cents and have an assortment of artifacts in it. I have it on my desk as a conversation piece and a reminder of what I'd rather be doing. All 4 views are below

I take all my keepers to work and show them to my peers and then they come back home and get stored in coin folders. Every keeper I dig is a win and when they fill a slot in my coin folders it turns into a win/win. This just provides a little more incentive to find the older sites so I can continue filling in the empty slots.

I wish! Bill D from Virginia gave it it my as a gift.
Thanks V. N.

Thanks Brad,
My wife has you and Bill to blame! Lol.
My display is a baby compared to yours.

Sorry I forgot to comment on your display. Your's is museum quality. :notworthy: I love to read your posts and think of you as one of the Tnet celebrities.

Loco, I like that clear cube as a desktop display. Cool idea man.

I have one of those printer drawers in my garage. Picked it up at a flea market with the idea of making some display at some point. Maybe this winter I'll get around to it. Yours looks great.

George and I were talking and it would be nice if we had a section on here to show off our display cases. Its great to get ideas from other members on how they show their stuff off at home\work.

Thanks Brad,
My wife has you and Bill to THANK! Lol.
My display is a baby compared to yours.

There was a typo. I fixed it though. haha

When I get home from swinging I get the "... oh great, you found some more buttons" and then she sees everything in the display and it turns into "ok, that's really cool now" haha

That's one swell gift and very generous of him, :thumbsup:to Bill D. As an electrician, I will add, "lighting is everything" when it comes to a display, especially if you want it to "pop"....and you just "popped" it.

Thanks IP..
It needs some Rev war regiment buttons to go with it..
Oh well maybe someday.

If you keep up that pace I think you'll have just about everything in about 10 years. :)

I don't have any pictures right now except for one I took earlier. I'm as organized as I've ever been, and now everything I find has a place. For relics I have 3 button cases for my military... 2 with 50 cups, and one with 36 and they are all full. So when I find one now I have to bump something into a large riker frame where I have bullets, my belt plate (plain) and many other misc. items, most being military related and many ages. My best civilian buttons are all in a large riker frame. I then have a wooden case with my better relics which is full, and a large riker frame started for what won't fit now. And lastly for relics I have a large riker frame with all the items dug off my early French sites. Cobs, bale seals, buttons, coppers, it's full. For coins I keep the better ones aside and this Winter will buy some 2x2s and get them better organized. The rest, all old, and there is quite a few, are on a shelf in my metal detecting cabinet and makes for a good display. Lastly you may have seen my iron, have it all on a small cabinet... cannon balls on top, and trade axes below. And for the only pic I can currently post is something I just added today to keep all my odds and ends relics in that aren't good enough to bother throwing in a case, but definitely not garbage. Every hunt I have a handful to throw in and at that rare it will take about 20 years to fill it I figure. :)

I'll share mine too!

This one I built this past summer. I built the bottom first, then quickly ran out of space and a couple months later I built the top! This is 90% of my years finds in here. I plan on saving these for a year-end post, where I will include some close up pictures.

This a large curio cabinet that I refinished. It was ugly oak veneer that I painted, redid the lighting and put different back panels on.

I also have a few of these hanging on the walls. They are "shadow boxes" from a craft store (about $7 each) that I cut some quilt type baton to put in. It makes deep "riker style" cases. I also use these to throw stuff in for homeowners who are interested in their history. Its cheap for me and displays really well for them!

That is a good idea, that trunk.
Yes, like how many bells can you put out, and lead soldiers and hem weights??? Etc..lol

That's exactly right... and musket balls, spoons, pocket watches, jews harps, buttons, and the list goes on.
