Any ideas. Not much to go by, but looks like it could be a cool plate or military shield in the movie "Braveheart". :dontknow: Iv'e been meaning to post this for a while. For some reason this small but detailed artifact has intrigued me.

Yep but it is really hard to get a true diameter from a small piece. The error can be pretty significant.

You might try matching the arc to actual vessels. You can tell if it fits or if it rocks a bit. That may be closer than drawing an arc to match the piece.

INteresting idea with drawing the radius out, but the piece seems far to small. It does seem to be part of a pot. :icon_thumleft:

I took the photo and played out the radius with repeating parts....
looks like a cast iron stove decorative ogee edge door opening after sledgehammer got it.
