Silver ?

I was hiking and stuck my pinpointer in the ground and got a hit ,dug it up and i found a very heavy little piece of something don't know what it is but it has silver tones and will not stick to a magnet so its not metal..any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.thank you in advance for helping ne solve this mystery

That's an unusual way to go about it.

it has silver tones and will not stick to a magnet so its not metal..
Not sticking to a magnet just means it isn't iron, not that it isn't metal.

It looks like a crumpled piece of aluminum (maybe part of a can).

These areas make me lean towards man made something.

I have found a couple of the same thing. They look like melted aluminum from a can but have elements of rust in them. I just chuck it in the trash when I find them.
