I think silver is right around $23 an ounce right now. I haven't checked in about 4 or 5 days but I'm sure it hasn't gone up or down too much from that.Actually in this circulated condition just the silver weight is $45

Nobody here is saying that you should go out and spend one of these coins as a dollar.... we all know that would be foolish and we all know they were minted as silver bullion coins... however, these coins are legal tender to spend as a dollar... and that makes them silver dollars in my opinion.It's a bullion ounce of silver, and not a dollar coin, regardless of what the coin says. Forget any numismatic value, it's an ounce of silver.
And it remains a GREAT find!
