Here is a fairly common tool type in Florida, the Hendrix scraper. According to Purdy, an examination of 33 of these tools showed that all had been used for scraping, but 5 of them had also been used for piercing and cutting. While these tools resemble some side scrapers found elsewhere, the Florida examples were used on all edges.

I found this one in Minnesota . I thought it was kind of a neat material .

Got some more scrapers. Some crude ones and some I believe were scrapers on 1 end and tool on the other. Hope you like.

Found this at a site that has turned up some very oooold artifacts.
The material itself is quite orange only a little bit is visible through the patina.

I had a lot of really good photos of my Scrapers and Flake Tools but lost them all when my flash drive became corrupted. This is all the pictures I have now of my personally found Scrapers.

Awesome collection grim! Do you think the hafted scrappers were particular to a certain area or time period? I have found a bunch of scrappers but never any hafted with the wings.

The are all from North Dakota and are some of the finest Scrapers I have ever seen. Very nice materials too. Agate, Knife River Chert, TRSS, etc.

Yes sir, those guys made some mighty fine scrapers from some great materials, and your collection shows that Grim. I just wanna say that even the scrapers from the so-so materials out here show the same fine workmanship. There are some amazing examples of such a basic simple tool out there, they are very worthy of collecting.

Sorry if I posted some multiple times! I lost count. I pulled my best out. I have soooo many scrapers of all sorts. Painter, you said you rarely find them. If you would like a few nice ones for study, let me know. Larson sent me some beauties that I didn't post here. Ps. The N. Dakota scrapers aren't in the offering. NC and VA. Scrapers, I need to find happy homes for some of mine!
