Kind of a strange thread... Why would it belong in a museum?

Well, let's see....there's a computer museum (in my living room!), a hammer museum, cowboy boot museum, and I'm pretty sure even a video game museum.

I saw a show on these some time back. Might have been several years ago when we had satellite TV, cause I'm wanting to say it was the show, "Pickers". Anyway, on this show, they found an old video game and got it working, then sold it for a nice profit. So there's still a LOT of interest out there!! And as it's a piece of Americana and gaming history, I think a museum would LOVE to have it! ...For free, of course!
