Interesting...I plugged in a $914 gold price and ran 35.9 grams of 14K on each. Your's showed $41.45 higher scrap price. Will be interested as to what their figure will be.

Midwest melts all the gold together, 10 and 14 Kt lets say. They then test it to see it's total Kt. and pay you 94% on the day it is processed. It could be higher or lower than what you figure.

thats what i figured just a rough calculation

They got your package on Sunday, and their turn around time is 3 to 5 working days. I think they are trying to wait to see if Gold drops again. Gold was up above $900.00 yesterday and right now it looks to be around $888.00, yeah. I think you shipped at the right time, let us know.

Good luck !! I used them the last time I had gold to refine. The ease of doing smaller amounts is
great.

However, I suspect if they have your gold for 3-5 days during its "processing", you will get the lowest spike of gold price over the entire 5 days. Let us know

I sent in when the price was 830. When it arrived there, it was 815. Two days later it hit 780 then went back up to 800's by next day, with a 10 minute super low spike in the middle somewhere at 770. ( literally minutes). When I got my check, quote was at 770. Its a miracle Id do the same thing, but I was irked for a few minutes at first. Had to look at very detailed charts and couldnt even find a low that low, but there it was, a few minute chart glitch down to 770, and Ill be darned, I got processed right at that moment !!!! haha.

Good luck again, no matter what... these prices are great Let us know how it goes !

(PS, none of my stuff was even melted, they "bought it outright", as said in the invoice.)

now here is the thing
if they process or bought out right it when gold is high ,they get a bigger cut of the 6%


right

paying at the lower rate they save $12 per ounce and their % is only changed by pennies.

if they took 6% say from $ 915 the cut they take would be $54.90
so the higher the price the more of a % they get in return
so it really doesnt matter how high it goes like you said a dollar here there etc
