These are this week’s finds at my cornfield permission. My favorite is the silver cufflink. I read on someone’s post that the octagonal cufflink was popular from the 1750s to about 1775, so I’m guessing that is the timeframe for mine. Also dug this King George I Hibernia half penny. It is in tough shape, but I can see the 1722 date. The harp is on the left side and has just seven strings, so this might be a little more rare. Also dug my second small open mouth bell. I am thinking this is 1700s based on the age of my other finds, and was perhaps a decorative bell on a horse harness. Would love to hear other opinions. Also found a bunch of buttons, including a large shiny one. The decorative one with a chip at the bottom of my photo is probably my favorite. The small buckle at the top of the picture might be a knee buckle, but I am not sure.. Hope to hit this field again soon, though these short days are killing me. Happy hunting. Good luck out there.
