Both. In the early 50's Travis, Phil and Bob Garman found a cache. 3 million in crushed gold ore. It was near Byous Butte. Larry has 2 good videos on the tube. Mysteries of the Superstition Mountains on the subject. Byous not Weavers is the needle everyone should have been looking at. Including Ruth.

What is your opinion for the western or southern side of the Supers for possible spanish caches?

I would say search a area your interested in. It helps if you have a idea what your looking for. 90 percent research and 10 percent footwork. I think there are very few available targets. Very few!

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I've been doing some research when the weather was hot. Now that the weather is cooler, I've been doing some boots on the ground on my time off. I'm taking the approach of looking for 'markers', and also trying to capture 'auras' with a certain camera that I have. I'm taking the approach of looking for 'markers', and also trying to capture 'auras' with a certain camera that I have. Maybe he has a placer claim for sale in that region and the publicity goes on.
IMHO, arund Byous Butte only old robbery cache could be find or past stolen gold ore from Silver King mine.

In reference to Byous Butte - being a possible robbery cache location; might be more near Comet Peak in IMHO. I can't remember too much of the details, but I recall a story of a Stage Coach being robbed of their payroll 'strongbox' at Hewitt Station and while running from the authorities, hid the cache somewhere in the Comet Peak surrounding area, which West of Hewitt Station. Could this be the same robbery you are pointing out? I believe the transportation of the payroll strongbox originated from the Hewitt Station, near the Silver King wash (now Hwy 60).

I don't know if was the same you have mentioned or another one, but if it wasn't find in the first place, all the possibilities are playing around. For sure in that region doesn't exist any Spanish-Mexican-Jesuit treasure, always from my research.
Peg Leg, Travis grandfather, had many documents/clues of buried caches of suspicious provenance, the most from robberies. All the stolen gold and silver from the Pinal-Queen Valley region, was headed and buried to the north via Hewitt and Whitlow canyons. I believe the most if not all the buried caches of that region, have been found, see then were few people who knew to " read " tracks wery well.

The Superstition gold I find is the real deal and rich. I ask you why does Bob Corbin question the piece you gave him for his ring. Do you want to get into that mess?

With those super small quantities you have bought the title of the " Treasure hunter of the year "? Kissing lil ar$$es for glory, doesn't make you better and famous than you are. Treasures are located more than 200 yards from your vehicle, distance you have used to walk researching.
And now you will say, you have retired with 100% dissability and you can't walk lond distances, not even think well. To me, you don't look like a man with 100% dissability, maybe you have a fake paper made up for lazy people.
