Monday and Tuesday I worked some long hours, so I let my co-worker know I'd be in at noon today.
I headed out to the City and ran into the daily backup on the JFX that starts well above the city/county line.
My intention was to head to a park in the south of Baltimore but the crawling backup would have taken a chunk of time to do and I really had just two hours to detect.
Hopping of the expressway early I was at another park in about 15 minutes and detecting by 9AM.
The area I went to is one where I've searched repeatedly with the Fisher F-75 and found a good number of Indian Head cents. The F-75 also got me silver there before.
First good target dug was this 1910 wheat.
Next target, a flat button without shank, very toasty, just like most of the Indians that come from this spot.
The word "GILT" is visible along with some arrow heads and two concentric circles.
After the button I got an 1891 IHC and I would eventually dig two more, an 1887 and an 1865. The '87 is the best of the trio.
So I'm finding these high-tone 30s IHCs with the Equinox 600 in Park 2,, Sensitivity 20, multi-frequency and 5 tones. These coins are turning up in areas I've been over several times with the F-75.
Another signal in the 30s had me thinking another IHC but this time it was silver! …… An 1882 seated dime.
Nice to be "seated amongst the Indians" today.
