Just when I thought I couldnt get excited about a find after finding the gold coin, I took some detecting friends Debbie and James to the spot I found, they did very well lots of relics and they each got 2 old copper coins, 2 were def. king george coppers which are rare to find in Mo. and I was very happy for them, I found 3 more compacts and my heart was racing we opened them there but all were empty , then I got a hit on my DFX Debbie was near me and she saw me digging and came over to help at 9+ in. she puts her hand into the hole and pulls out the bracelet, we were so excited the bracelet is awsome probably homemade. But to find that had my heart pumpimg as much as when we found the gold coin, I love detecting!! jd

What a nice bracelet. Not a common site. Looks like it was made in the 1800,s about 1860. I wonder if the dates meant something to the maker or owner? You,ve got to like finds that just speak to you.

thanks guys it sure is a cool thing i was told on another forum that the band itself was made from a seated quarter or 2 thats awsome. jd

With all of Your awesome finds, and they truly are awesome, one must ask how we can become independently wealthy and treasure hunt all day ;) Just kidding! Great finds. Missouri is such a beautiful state and rich in history.
