Where good deeds are performed daily
Detector(s) used
Garrett Fortune Hunter, White's CoinMaster, Garrett American S3, Compass Coin Magnum and a couple of others you will only find in museums!
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
I've found several marbles over the years and am hoping to get an ID and possible value of some.
Ain't it amazing how many marbles are found while metal detecting?
I've also found several while remodeling older houses.
ALWAYS check under heating register vent covers!

If additional photos are needed, to show translucency, swirl patterns, etc. let me know.
Thanks in Advance!

Best Wishes,

Scott

#8 last photo is a red-hot cool one maybe would glow under UV light, #5 second photo from top looks like an agate not glass, nice collection

I had a cigar box full of marbles as a kid in the early 1960s. Seems all my friends had the same. I don't remember ever playing marbles all that much, but you sure had to have a cigar box of marbles for whatever reason it was back then. To this day I for the life of me can't ever say where they all disappeared to 🤔

For myself they fell victim to the sling shot. The 1964-1970 was a great time for marbles.

I remember we'd find spilled iron taconite pellets along some railroad tracks for slingshot ammo many many moons ago. Those things were deadly and I shot a streetlight out with one. I was never busted for that negligent act.

A few got broken around my area also.
Then a few got the 12ga.treatment from the older boys driving around. 🤣
We never had free ammo dropped along the tracks.

You've got marbles from the 20s until modern time there. Many different makers. As far as value, I don't see anything there worth more than a dollar, unfortunately.
I've always liked that verse in Proverbs. Look before you step in layman's terms.
