Season 4

. If you don't appreciate the claims of others, go out and do your own treasure hunting and write about it. The attacking ruins the thread.

Asking for people to provide some evidence supporting their claims, is not attacking. Pointing out how someone's claims are not founded in reality is not attacking. The onus is on the person making the claim to prove their position, and if they can't do so because of the points brought forth by the skeptics, then it is on them for not basing their claims on reality, or for not thinking through their position.

Describing a con as a con is a description, not an attack.

Facts matter. Even in today's world of fake news and 'alternative facts'.

So now that we have figured out that the idea of Roman Swords is Season 3

And the title of the post is Season 4

.....we can just move all the fake maps and all the other SWORDGATE rants over to that post.....remember SWORDGATE?

So now back to finding wood from the previous excavations in the last days of their digging quest.....

How many huge holes have they made now? A Chunk of Swiss Cheese isn't even as aerated as the Money Pit....:laughing7:

Say what you want but i was not the one to instigate the roman shamozel. The answer can be found on post 756

Yiddish? Odd turn of phrase for an Aussie.

You were not the one perhaps. But then, just who are you?

To totally derail this train....I actually own a Cue Cat scanner. I used it with a software package to keep track of my video games and used it to scan the UPC codes on games that had one.

Archeological is a perfectly acceptable spelling. So is archaeological. A matter of preference.

Enjoy the discussions. I'm out.

Ya... what happened to this thread. It use to be fun. You know... talk about SEASON 4 OF OAK ISLAND?

30 days past September, April, June and November... All the rest have 31 - I can't remember the rest of the song?????????????????????????????

According to Wiki, which says that this is the version attributed to Mother Goose:

Thirty days has September,
April, June, and November.
All the rest have thirty-one,
Except for February alone,
Which has but twenty-eight days clear,
And twenty-nine in each leap year.

NARRATOR:

"A month? With 28 days?"

"And if so, could it be from a Templar calendar?"

I prefer to spell it Graverobber

Season 4
Seems like they should call this year the Lost Season

Seeing all the heavy equipment and money being spent, I keep thinking something is going to happen. But every week is a big let down, especially last week where nothing actually happened. Majority of the show seemed to be research field trip.

How is it possible that they are doing all this work, yet they can't even fill the episode with the work they are doing? Instead 50% or more is just fluff, and going over previous episodes. Previous seasons had many "Digging deeper" episodes, but only one this year. Yet they are doing deeper and larger holes this year, but suddenly there is not enough to talk about?

What is going on?

yep... The last shaft they dug 1 person got metal hits the other did not. So they just said 'OK nothing there lets dig another hole'... Maybee the will come back to this..

But they made a big deal over - 'silver pellet' from tailings (never heard of again), Railway spike (never heard of again), Plank from swamp (never heard of again), tile with templer X (Never heard of again), chicken bone (never heard of again)..

These are just the ones that spring to mind.

They treat the audience pretty bad. The "helpful" man that tells us everything we have forgotten in the add break and assumes every episode is the first anyone has ever watched so retells everything that has happened in the last four seasons... Never tells us anything of much use..

Very frustrating..

Tonight on Oak Island...
Episode 14
Of sticks and stones

Reading the title make you think the brothers are gonna have an argument and resort to name calling and Marty is gonna say "Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me!" "I am packing up my oscillator and going home!" :tongue3:

So the third hole will be dug in MP. This time it was Craig's choice. Last 2 were about 10' - 18' apart. Wonder how close this one will be. Here is the dilemma with the holes.... if they are too close, ahhh, we just missed it. If they are too far apart, ahhh, we just missed it. If they don't dig down to China, ahhh, 10 more feet and we would have hit the vault! More money please! We almost had it!

The did show them pulling up beams and a tree branch so..... What's that? Part of the Chapel Vault? Could the Lagina's be moments away from discovering the Arc of the Covenant? Lost Templar treasure? Billions in golden coins? Obama's lost birth certificate?

DVR is queued up and ready to go! :occasion14: :happy1:

The mystery of Oak Island continues......lol

Notice how Archaeology is misspelled...... ARCHEOLOGY.......spelled JUST LIKE CACHEOLOGY

My guess is that Hutton has some problems spelling similar words the same, so as to attribute attention to them as if its a trusted and accepted science......lol

Sorry for so much alliteration.

Only one guy who claims to be hunting treasures and comes around waving a German and Israeli Flag on his website.....throwing out CUE CAT derails and battling with Ebays Best Roman Swords

Cacheology.....

The study of selling a cheap product that secretly harvests your data to be sold for marketing purposes

.....Cacheology...as in the FIRST SCAM OF ITS KIND made back in 2000....used to begin forming online records of your activities....

The one that happens to be the reason for the Urban Dictionary's term "Data Mining"......on a treasure hunting website....

Now you know who he is......he began bulk mailing his product to subscribers of Wired and Forbes for free

......so the rich and successful businessmen across the US would then "HOOK UP" their interests to databases for ol Hutton, to sell to the highest bidder, or to DATA MINE, to then pick and choose at a new career......in either investments or in technology.

I don't have a beef for Hutton, he's got his own rep without me, but

I do have a random quote on my desktop.....on a little notecard.....just as a reminder .....

My guess for tonight's show is they will speculate any wood that is found is from Noah's Ark!

All jokes a side..but are you able dis prove or dis credit his research. Sure you can dis credit a man. Bring up his failings. Call him a crook. A fraud or a fake. But can you dis prove him. Even when he pulls out documents that have been recorded and stored on nova scotia public record. Found on and in nova scotia and canadian archives. Nova scotia department of natural resources. Spoken and interviewed every native cheif or elder in Nova Scotia.
And so on and so on. And any other document that can be retreived with a freedom of information act inquiry
So if he has found these things in those archives to which then presents them to the public. To which the public can then see them acknowlege them.
Connect the dots and peice the story together.

Sure you can attack a man thats not here to defend himself. Call him all the names under the sun.
Bring up his past failings.

But can you crack his work thats the simple question
