Hello!
Please tell me about the choice of detector.
The depth is up to 3 meters. The search for gold. The size of the find is a pot of gold. The country is mountainous.
According to legend, a friend's grandfather buried gold coins. It is known where it is located, but the search area is about 200 square meters.
I'm looking for a suitable device. So far, I've looked at the br 20 pro for $2,000, but there are no reviews on it.
The detector's budget is a maximum of $2,500.
Please help me with the choice.

just thinking slightly outside the box.
Instead of using a metal detector why not use LIDAR instead..
It sounds as if there is or has not been agricultural activity on the target area..
The spot where the item has been buried may have settled over time to leave a small depression in comparison to surrounding ground.
Alternatively if you have to use a metal detector you could use % Fe3O4 feature available on some metal detectors to grid and scan for ground disruption . When the excavation was being back filled , all the soil would have been put back in all mixed up. therefore it would have a very different %Fe3O4 reading to surrounding areas.
I use this feature to identify areas of past human activity , to concentrate my grid search area .
The Fisher F5 has this feature, but I am sure other detectors have this potential tool as well .
hope that this is of some help
can you give an example of a lidar model that is capable of this? I want to get acquainted with the information

I noticed all suggestions are for detectors. You might consider a magnetometer. I have no experience with one, but I understand they can detect iron at some extreme depth. Those guns might be enough. Even better if the cache is buried in an iron/steel container. Maybe someone else in here can chime in?

You don't need a detector, you need ground penetrating radar.

Hello Andrew.
There are loads of different websites and apps which offer Lidar images. I use Lidarfinder.com.
It uses the "Tracing Paper Effect", like when you used to flick back the tracing paper to see is your copied image correct. Hope this is of some help to you.

The Lidarfinder.com link is only good for Britain.
For any other country it doesn't serve much purpose.
It seems that Lidar for my area in Ontario Canada it's been done.
But is restricted to a pay-usage requirement.
