Got back to the park I've been hunting on and off now for the past two weeks and pulled a couple of interesting finds! For the most part I feel this park has never seen a metal detector as I'm digging a good signal every few feet, mostly pennies though! Unfortunately, no silver coins today , but I did manage to find a Sterling Silver Thimble! This beauty was about 6" down and is really sweet! It was made by James Swann of Birmingham, England in 1907.
I found a lot of mid-1940's & '50's pennies, a 1944 & '45 Wheat and a 1943 Canadian 'Victory' Nickel . . . my first. I also found a lot of keys, including a broken skeleton key, a couple of buttons, a 'rusted out' pocket knife and around $2.00 in change.
Thanks for looking and best of luck to you!
