CONGRATS ON YOUR FABULOUS OLD GOLD BAR, WHEEEE! :wav::wav:

I'm guessing you're never returning to Chicago now, hee-he! Andi

Dude, that is incredible. Congrats. How far down?

Well, consider the excitement shared and enjoyed... I have to push my eyes back into my head !! :occasion14:
That's awesome, no video of the dig ? :icon_scratch:

Keep @ it and HH !! :hello2:

Thats a great find!! and attitude. HH

that should be in the Hall of Fame! What an amazing discovery, enjoy its presence now as it will probably be declared "treasure." I'm in awe of your recent finds. Simply incredible. I can't wait to see your next piece of history. I've not seen one of these bars before, so I'm going to research them for a bit. Of the myriad reasons I love this site, one of the biggest is no matter how well I educate myself, I constantly learn from members and their discoveries!

AWESOME!

Just one more reason I need to go to the UK to find the ancient stuff. I am thoroughly impressed. What a piece of history!

HI BOB!

You hunting with Chris M. near Colchester? He talked a lot about you when I was there in '07. Great find!

That is fantastically AWESOME!!! That is a heart stopper! Tell me you at lest did the "I found gold and it ain't little " dance. Congrats! Good thing you found it and not me, I'd have planted myself face first in the field.

Wow that is a phenomenal piece of history. I am in awe of that shiny sliver of gold. Congratulations and may everyone get to experience something like that someday

Very nice find though it is there is know way of dating such a piece of Gold, it could date to any period, unless it was found in context with other finds from the said period...very nice find though. The value will probably be the melt value of the gold k. About £320 if it's 24k.

Worked for me. Of course not everyone finds gold or treasure every single time they hunt.Once is hard enough right Stewie? Anyways nice find Ron. I always enjoy seeing your finds and am glad you share. Imagine hacking off a little gold here and there so make payments. Pretty cool. What were the other artifacts found with it to identify it?
