I can't wait to see your next piece of history. I've not seen one of these bars before, so I'm going to research them for a bit. Very nice find though it is there is know way of dating such a piece of Gold, it could date to any period, unless it was found in context with other finds from the said period...very nice find though. The value will probably be the melt value of the gold k. About £320 if it's 24k.
